A new wellness centre has been designed to open in one of the most beautiful areas of Lisbon, called Estrela. This centre aims to provide both public and private uses, sharing the same healthy, eclectic, earthy yet contemporary environment. It will include a personal training gym space, a yoga class room, SPA services and a lounge for members and a café with public access. The well-traveled client would like to see his space very much welltraveled too, seeking influences from worldwide, merging and giving a contemporary twist to oriental influences, moroccan outdoorsy feeling and portuguese craftmanship. ‘Joao really understood the concept and vision of the project. It was extremely important to find an architect with a collaborative spirit as it would amplify the subtlety in the design. He did a memorable job.‘ R.G.
